Finding God (On Easter)
A song written by our worship leader
Happy Resurrection Day Friends!
On this cloudy day in the south, Jesus shines in my heart as I reflect on what his resurrection means to me. We had a beautiful weekend with my oldest son, daughter in law and grandson. We all celebrated with our small church family and as I listened to the music, my heart sensed Gods presence. Especially though this song written by one of our worship leaders. So, I wanted to share it with you.
Is this hope- when bright lit torches hung from hillsides light the way And is this love- cause debt like mine would take a ransom owed and payed Is this Grace- cause what I've done won't stand in church and holds a stain And is this truth-cause dog ears books written by sages still miss you Blessed are the poor who see like God Blessed are the rich who keep it not Blessed are the meek who sheath their swords Blessed are the thieves who don't steal more Blessed are the just who don't see race Blessed are we bums who drink in Grace Is this Faith- cause if put on a scale and measured holds no weight Is this peace- cause god know my chaotic mind stands ill at ease Is this real- cause all the fake plastic and shiny billboards rage Or is this church- cause I'd put on my Sunday best threadbare and worn Blessed are the poor who see like God Blessed are the rich who keep it not Blessed are the meek who sheath their swords Blessed are the thieves who don't steal more Blessed are the just who don't see race Blessed are we bums who drink in Grace Is this Gods earth- and if it is baptize me deep and hold me down When I come up- I'll feel the pull of Gods good grace deep like a well An ocean swell (Zach Wilson)
On this Resurrection day, may you find new life even in your dead spaces. As some of you mourn those no longer here or relationships broken with no reconciliation near, May Jesus reveal His grace and baptize you in his love. May you experience Him even in your struggles and especially through them.
Thats what Easter means to me.

Such encouraging words Janet! Thanks for sharing!
